MDB’s team of specialist assessors provides comprehensive educational and developmental assessments for children and adolescents who are experiencing learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges. Referrals for assessment may come from schools, concerned parents seeking a greater understanding of their child, or internally from our own psychologists or psychiatrists as part of a broader care plan. Our goal is to understand the whole child —not just test scores—by exploring how cognitive, academic, emotional, and environmental factors interact to impact a student’s functioning.
Our process is grounded in a multidisciplinary, individualized, and culturally responsive framework. No two children are alike, and we believe that assessment should reflect that. We tailor each evaluation to the specific concerns, history, and strengths of the child, drawing on the expertise of psychologists, educational specialists, and—when relevant-other allied professionals.
We place strong emphasis on collaboration and communication. From the initial consultation through to the final feedback, we work closely with families and schools to ensure that assessment findings are well-understood and can translate into meaningful support strategies.
Parents and caregivers are engaged throughout the process, and we routinely collaborate with teachers, learning support teams, and allied professionals to gather input and share recommendations. We recognize that lasting change happens when all parties are on the same page and committed to a shared understanding of the child’s needs.

Our reports are more than just summaries of scores-they offer clear, accessible insights into a child’s learning profile and practical recommendations to guide intervention, accommodations, or future planning.
We aim to ensure our findings lead to action: whether that means support in the classroom, referrals for intervention, or the development of individualized learning or behavioral support plans. Our team is available to consult with schools, attend planning meetings, and help bridge the gap between assessment and real-world support.
Our child, Adolescent, and Functional Therapy Services support individuals across the lifespan—from young children developing foundational skills to adults recovering from injury or illness. Whether addressing developmental needs, communication challenges, or functional rehabilitation, we take a client-centered, multidisciplinary approach designed to promote independence, confidence, and everyday wellbeing.
Our occupational therapy services begin with a personalized assessment to understand each client’s goals, challenges, and environment. Whether working with a child navigating sensory or motor delays, or an adult adjusting to new physical limitations, we design tailored intervention plans that aim to enhance daily functioning and support meaningful participation in home, school, or community life.
We help clients develop practical skills, adapt to physical or environmental changes, and build the capacity to engage in the activities that matter most—be that handwriting, self-care, job readiness, or home adaptations. Progress is monitored over time to ensure goals are achievable, relevant, and evolving with the individual’s needs.
Our speech and language therapy team works with clients of all ages to improve communication, feeding, and swallowing. We understand how profoundly language impacts learning, relationships, and self-expression. That’s why our therapy is always goal-focused, evidence-informed, and developmentally appropriate.
We support children with developmental delays in speech and language, as well as individuals with acquired communication needs due to medical conditions such as stroke, brain injury, or head and neck surgery. Therapy plans are built collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure each client is supported in every part of their life.
We offer specialized literacy intervention services to support children and adolescents who experience challenges in reading, writing, and spelling in either Arabic, English, or both. Our team understands that literacy is foundational not only to academic success, but also to confidence, independence, and lifelong learning.
Our intervention programs are grounded in current research and tailored to each learner’s needs. We assess key areas such as phonological awareness, decoding, comprehension, and written expression to design targeted, developmentally appropriate support. Interventions are adapted for the specific structure and linguistic features of each language, recognizing the unique challenges that may arise in Arabic-English bilingual learners.
We work closely with families and schools to ensure that literacy support is consistent across settings, and we provide clear strategies and progress updates to help students succeed in both classroom and home environments.
