MDB’s team of specialist assessors provides comprehensive educational and developmental assessments for children and adolescents who are experiencing learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges. Referrals for assessment may come from schools, concerned parents seeking a greater understanding of their child, or internally from our own psychologists or psychiatrists as part of a broader care plan. Our goal is to understand the whole child —not just test scores—by exploring how cognitive, academic, emotional, and environmental factors interact to impact a student’s functioning.
Our process is grounded in a multidisciplinary, individualized, and culturally responsive framework. No two children are alike, and we believe that assessment should reflect that. We tailor each evaluation to the specific concerns, history, and strengths of the child, drawing on the expertise of psychologists, educational specialists, and—when relevant-other allied professionals.
We place strong emphasis on collaboration and communication. From the initial consultation through to the final feedback, we work closely with families and schools to ensure that assessment findings are well-understood and can translate into meaningful support strategies.
Parents and caregivers are engaged throughout the process, and we routinely collaborate with teachers, learning support teams, and allied professionals to gather input and share recommendations. We recognize that lasting change happens when all parties are on the same page and committed to a shared understanding of the child’s needs.

Our reports are more than just summaries of scores-they offer clear, accessible insights into a child’s learning profile and practical recommendations to guide intervention, accommodations, or future planning.
We aim to ensure our findings lead to action: whether that means support in the classroom, referrals for intervention, or the development of individualized learning or behavioral support plans. Our team is available to consult with schools, attend planning meetings, and help bridge the gap between assessment and real-world support.
