Nour Bseiso is an Assistant Psychologist and Research Assistant with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The New School University in New York (2022). She has experience administering psycho-educational assessments, scoring, and report writing related to neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodivergence in children and adolescents. Nour is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically in emotion regulation and DBT skills fundamentals.
Her professional and research interests are shaped by sociopolitical and historical contexts, with a focus on addressing research gaps and developing therapeutic approaches that are culturally informed by and for communities in the SWANA region. She is currently working as an editor and on research publications related to Adverse Childhood Experiences, Shame, Borderline Personality Disorders and Non-Suicidal Self Injury in the region. Her broader research interests include post-colonial approaches to therapy, community psychology, intergenerational trauma, neurodivergence, and the effectiveness of DBT skills groups.
