We help clients become aware of their maladaptive thinking patterns in order to lessen the frequency of unhelpful behaviors and build better coping mechanisms.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (Individual and Group Skills Classes)
Our team of professionals offers this evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy commonly used to treat suicidal behaviors, borderline personality disorder and other complex mental health disorders including post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, substance dependence, depression and anxiety-related issues. Clients can choose to take individual DBT sessions and they may also take group classes where they learn how to stop letting their emotions take control of their lives and end destructive behaviors. The course is split into four modules: mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Upon completion of the program, clients acquire skills that allow them to stop acting impulsively, enter and maintain healthy relationships, reduce suffering, and increase overall well-being.
