Balsam is a dedicated psychotherapist who has great interest in helping people change. She collaboratively works with clients to facilitate improvement in their quality of life. Her qualifications, diverse experiences, and advanced training provide rich perspectives on how she conducts sessions. Balsam has experience working with multiple disorders, including eating disorders such as binge eating and bulimia nervosa, depression, anxiety, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and other conditions. She also provides counseling services, for example, dealing with work-related burnout and lifestyle guidance. Balsam mainly works with young adults and adults.
In addition to providing individual psychotherapy sessions, Balsam leads the bilingual DBT skills classes; the center runs classes for both clients / patients and mental health professionals – more information and links can be found below.
Balsam is part of the Maria Den Braven DBT consultation team, working under the supervision of Dr. Basma Al-Kilani. Additionally, Balsam is a presenter and trainer in training for DBT MENA, which is the exclusive affiliate of Behavioral Tech Institute in the MENA region.
